FAQ
1. Should I wear makeup?
a. Yes. Apply it thoroughly but do not clump or cake. Like with stage makeup – you want to accent all features and slightly overdo it because the flash washes you out.
2. Should I get my hair styled professionally?
a. If you have frizzies or need extra taming – just take extra time – or have a friend help. If you don’t mind spending 25$ for a wash/blowout – then go for it! Its your day!
3. What colors should I avoid?
a. Most people should avoid white – it washes out color quickly – even tan people.
b. Reds/Horizontal Stripes tend to make people look big/wide
c. Yellows/Greens can make skintones look “sickly” – so be careful
d. Pinks , Blues and Black are GREAT! compliment most skintones and body types.
4. Can I have help picking out clothing?
a. Chanel offers consultations and will even go shopping with you – 20.00 an hour
5. Im not photogenic – any tips?
a. Print Out/Rip Out [of magazines] examples of what you want to look like
b. Practice smiling/pouting/and posing in the mirror
c. YouTube has great videos
6. I’ll be really nervous – Advice? Wine. Music. Friends. And BREATHE!
7. Kids cant sit still for a minute – what will do you to help?
a. We’ll have “games” and toys to keep them interested
b. Chanel has tons of experience with kids and will work with them
c. SUGGESTED: Bring a favorite toy of theirs – and a drink/snack
8. Can I bring pets?
a. Yes – with notice.
b. Please bring leashes, colars, toys, treats!!!!, and supplies for accident cleanup
9. Can I bring people along who aren’t getting their photo taken?
a. Most definitely – as long as it is not distracting. They’ll be able to ease your nerves, help you with anything, and even shop around while you shoot!
10. Do you have group rates/specials? Most definitely – for groups bigger than 6 – please call.
11. Can I split my session with a friend to cut costs? Yes!
12. What’s the cancelation policy?
a. No Cancelations. No Refunds – Credit Card Will Be Charged at time of Booking.
13. Do you offer photo gifts?
a. Yes – Chanel creates photobooks, ornaments, keychains, bracelets, prints, framed prints, collages, posters, stickers, postage stamps, ties, mugs, trivets, blankets, office supplies, kitchen supplies [apron, pot holder], mousepads and so much more!
b. These can be created even without a shoot – bring in a USB/CD of images and make an appointment with Chanel
14. Will I have privacy?
a. Yes. Marathons are held on work days and it continues through off hours. The studio is secluded just FOR YOU and is not available to the public during work hours. Private Sessions are held AFTER hours – so the studio is completely yours.
